GMG Sales Increased by 40 Percent in 2006
TUEBINGEN, Germany—GMG, supplier of color management and proofing solutions, announced that the company achieved an extraordinary increase in sales in 2006, owing to further expansion of distribution activities in almost all regions. It was extremely pleasing to note that sales rose steadily with a record month in December.
In the past year, GMG succeeded in boosting its sales by 40 percent compared to 2005, a year (like 2004) in which sales had already risen by more than 50 percent compared to the previous year. Germany again showed very pleasing development in 2006 and continues to be GMG’s largest single market. Numerous international markets demonstrated above-proportional growth, now accounting for more than two-thirds of total sales. Many countries and regions, such as Japan, Australia, UK and Benelux, are recording sales growth of well over 100 percent. A satisfying expansion was again achieved in the USA, UK, Spain, Italy, France and parts of Asia. A very pleasing development occurred in Japan, where GMG achieved the second highest total increase of all countries.
“We are naturally very pleased with this development, which met our optimistic expectations”, says Robert Weihing, managing director of GMG GmbH & Co. KG. “It has become clear that we have been very successful in consistently transferring our many years of success in Germany to other countries, and that our efforts have rapidly borne fruit. We will pursue this approach steadily and continue to market the strengths of GMG technology worldwide.”
