GEW Nominated for New Innovation Award
REDHILL, SURREY, England—UV Systems manufacturer GEW Ltd. has been nominated in the New Innovations category of the Label Industry Global Awards set to take place during Labelexpo Europe 2007.
Commenting on the nomination, Managing Director Malcolm Rae said, “One of the key challenges for printers today is to achieve profitability which can only come from reducing costs. Our energy efficient electronic UV systems do that. Everyone in the company plays a part in delivering our services, from design through to the final product. The nomination for this Award reflects our commitment to developing new technologies that reduce operating costs for label printers.”
GEW manufactures UV curing systems for all makes of printing presses and supplies both OEM’s as well as UV upgrades for existing equipment. The company continues to develop it product lines with innovations that include the energy saving, electronic e-Brick power supply for its vCP, eCP, and IsoCure lamp heads. A more recent development is the e-System mini with “plug & print,” single phase, 3.6 kW power supply for presses up to 25 cm (10˝).
The fourth Label Industry Global Awards will take place on the first evening of Labelexpo Europe 2007 on Wednesday, 26 September, at Autoworld in Brussels. The industry has the opportunity to vote for selected nominees at www.labelawards.com until the end of May.
