Gerhardt USA to Open New Facility in October 2010

DALLASTOWN, Pa.—On November 8, 2009, Gerhardt USA (www.gerhardt-usa.com) fell victim to a devastating fire that caused millions of dollars in damage and completely burned out its flexible die production capabilities. The company reacted immediately, and within 30 minutes of the fire starting, it had transferred all of the work that was in-house to its sister facility in Derby, England and was able to maintain its delivery commitments to its customers.

Because Gerhardt is a global company with various production facilities around the world the company was able to continue to support all of its customers’ needs without any major interruptions in delivery and no changes in quality.

Due to the dedication and hard work of all of its associates, Gerhardt USA has announced that in less than 11 months after the fire, it will be re-opening its new flexible die facility. This new state-of-the-art facility will allow Gerhardt to manufacture flexible dies with improved quality and performance, including tighter tolerances and more intricate designs.
