FTA Unveils Free Mobile App for Attendees
BOHEMIA, NY—March 8, 2012—Attendees, exhibitors, and the flexographic industry at large now have a new tool to stay informed of the events happening at Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) upcoming Annual Forum & INFO*FLEX Exhibition—a free smartphone app.
FTA today announced the release of its “FTA Events” app, a cross-platform, native application for web-enabled smartphones and tablets including the iPhone, iPad and Android. Designed for those who are attending the 54th Annual Forum and 30th Anniversary INFO*FLEX Exhibition (March 18-21: San Antonio, TX), this milestone release offers a powerful tool for navigating Forum’s comprehensive program agenda, and the sold-out INFO*FLEX show floor.
“The FTA Events app is just the latest example of how FTA is keeping on the cutting-edge”, said Mark Cisternino, FTA/FFTA president. “It’s intuitive, easy to explore, and because it’s a native app, once you install it, it doesn’t require an active Internet connection.”
The app features the complete program agenda that, with a simple touch, allows users to find and add a particular session or event to their personal calendars. Those wanting to plan out their time at the INFO*FLEX Exhibition can do so by using the robust, interactive map of the show floor, where a booth can be “bookmarked” or marked as “visited.” INFO*FLEX Exhibitors can also be easily located using the alphabetical listing of exhibitors. Additionally, the app lists information about FTA’s upcoming events, news items, and its Forum & INFO*FLEX Platinum Plus and Platinum sponsors. For those wanting to learn more about San Antonio, the app boasts an extensive city guide, complete with information on restaurants, nightlife, shopping and weather.
This free app is sponsored by Color Resolutions International and is available for the iPhone, the iTouch, the iPad, and Android devices. A quick access to the app via the iPhone or Android markets can be found at http://fta2012.com.
