FTA Announces Theme for Its 2010 Forum

RONKONKOMA, N.Y.—The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FFTA) announced the official theme and logo for its 2010 Annual Forum. “Experience Forum 2010: The Premium Package” will be the premise of next year’s conference, which will be staged on May 2-5 at the Paris Las Vegas, in Las Vegas.

The conference will be chaired by industry veterans Jean Engelke, printing services leader, Alcan Packaging and Mark Coffman, sales representative, Dixie Graphics.

“Responses from Forum 2009 surveys indicated the membership is looking for significant, hard-hitting technical content, networking opportunities, and new technologies to expand business opportunities. We are focusing Forum 2010 on all of these—content, contacts, concepts and commerce,” said Engelke. “The Forum Committee is not only excited, but its members are committed to delivering on these expectations.”

Coffman added, “We are continuing to listen to what the FTA membership is saying. With all of the different sessions offered, FTA members will have an excellent opportunity to receive a great deal of content from various contacts in the industry.”

The Forum 2010 agenda includes sessions on Emerging Trends & Technologies, FIRST (Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications and Tolerances), Flexo 101, FQC (Flexo Quality Consortium), Inks, Prepress, Substrates, and Sustainability. FFTA is accepting abstracts from the industry pertaining to any of these eight sessions until Sept. 18, 2009. Abstracts can be submitted online at www.flexography.org/abstracts.cfm.

Coinciding with Forum 2010 is the INFO*FLEX Exhibition, a package printing and in-line converting networking opportunity. INFO*FLEX has 200+ booths manned by 160+ flexography suppliers, as well as a presentation theater, an educational pavilion, a social event, and more. INFO*FLEX is designed to facilitate interactive opportunities, both personal and structured.
