Flexographic Pre-Press Platemakers Association Keeps an Eye on the Future
With the theme "Securing the Future of the Corrugated Pre-Press and Platemaking Trade Shop Model," the 19th annual Flexographic Pre-Press Platemakers Association (FPPA) conference on Feb. 21-23, 2016, in Rancho Mirage, California, will provide a platform for executives to discuss the future of the flexographic pre-press and platemaking industry.
Among the topics to be discussed is the inhousing of pre-press and platemaking functions, a growing trend that presents many challenges for independent trade shops. The conference will also feature a town hall-style discussion where attendees will hash out various issues of concern and strategize steps for moving the industry forward. Ralph Young, a corrugated industry insider and keynoter, will examine the current state of the corrugated industry while top industry suppliers such as The Flint Group, DuPont, and Anderson & Vreeland will lead sessions on the latest technological advancements in platemaking and other pre-press functions.
The conference will also feature intimate, one-on-one sessions between platemakers and suppliers, as well as a networking welcome reception. Held at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa, the venue offers a variety of opportunities for rest and relaxation.
“We are thrilled to offer this value-packed forum for leaders in the flexo pre-press and platemaking industries,” Donna Dunn, executive director of FPPA, said. “Not only is FPPA’s conference the place to learn about the latest economic and technical developments, it also provides opportunities for developing deep and lasting relationships.”
Registration is open to both FPPA members and nonmembers. For more information or to register, visit fppa.net/events.
