FLEXcon Assists Converters With UL’s Pre-Certification Program

SPENCER, Mass.—Easy access to engineers at Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and a streamlined method of obtaining UL listings are just some of the changes the independent product safety certification organization has recently announced.

FLEXcon has long valued Underwriters Laboratories as a resource to ensure its pressure-sensitive films and adhesives are compliant with industry and consumer-safety standards. As the only UL self-certifying DAP lab in the PSA industry, FLEXcon continues investing in capital equipment and resources to maintain UL approval of its products and to better serve customers. Officials at FLEXcon say they will continue to reinforce the importance of UL recognition and not only encourage, but also assist converters and OEMs in working with UL to achieve label compliance.
