FFTA/Clemson Symposium Set for March 14-16
CLEMSON, S.C.—The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FFTA) and Clemson University’s Department of Graphic Communications will co-host the “Flexographic Process Color Printing” Symposium, set for March 14-16, 2007.
The program will be held at several locations on the Clemson University campus including, for the first time, the Outdoor Research Lab (a woodland retreat) as well as the Madren Conference Center and Clemson University’s Graphics Lab.
Participants will learn the steps to optimize, characterize, measure, and manage flexographic color printing in a production environment using the proven techniques of process control. Hands-on breakout sessions teach best practices for densitometry, spectrophotometry, documentation, and press side color evaluations, as well as profiling basics. Beginner to advanced production and management personnel, prepress, sales, and customer service staff for printers and industry suppliers have all benefited from this training.
This program continues to grow in popularity as it offers a dynamic setting for discussions, networking, and troubleshooting advice between the panel of top industry experts and the attendees. There are many opportunities available during dinners, socials, and breakout sessions to work closely with the presenters and ask detailed questions about specific printing issues.
