The ContactClean Web 2NR-OWC-TWN from Polymag Tek is a web cleaner for keeping up with and cost-effectively removing contamination on paperboard substrates. In an offset web application, it has eliminated blanket washes in a normal eight hour job, allowing it to be completed in five hours. In a flexo application, it reduced flexo plate cleaning stops from every 5,000 feet to 110,000 feet. Meech Extends its Hyperion Range
Meech International has launched a new distance sensor and feedback system, enhancing its Hyperion range of static control systems. The distance sensor is meant to be used with Meech’s 971IPS static elimination bar (above).The sensor enables a change in frequency when the proximity to the static surface increases or decreases, adjusting the neutralization based on the distance to the static surface. Featuring a three-pin M8 connector and upgraded software, Meech’s new “feedback-enabled” bars provide static control in production environments and the capability of outputting the voltage level for remote monitoring. Using a remote voltage sensor, the Hyperion bar is informed if more positive or negative ions are needed to create neutralization of all charges on the material. –www.meech.com
