Exhibitors & Sponsors Prepare for CMM International
More than 100 new companies have signed on to exhibit at CMM International 2007 during the last three months, says show organizer PennWell. The biennial event will be held June 4-7, 2007, at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.
According to CMM show management, many of these companies are either new to CMM or have come back to the show after not participating in recent years. Several companies have also expanded their original booth size, and many of them now are planning to bring running equipment.
“With several months to go before the show in June, we are adding new exhibitors at a rapid pace, even more quickly than anticipated,” says Jim Enos, CMM show director and vice president of PennWell.
Among the many new enhancements to CMM 2007 are two technology centers that will feature advanced equipment producing actual converting jobs on the show floor all four days of the event. The new Flexible Packaging Technology Center will provide CMM attendees a hands-on opportunity to experience each step of the converting process while discussing the technology with a variety of industry experts. This latest addition to the CMM show floor will feature several sponsors showcasing their equipment:
• The new Bobst/Schiavi electronic Flexo press from the Italian manufacturer’s high performance 10-color C.I. EF 50 press series.
• The new Practica 1200 slitter/rewinder from Profama.
• The Hudson-Sharp Machine Company, headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, will feature an advanced state-of-the-art bag making machine.
• AirTrim’s pneumatic trim system that removes the edge trim from the bag making process.
Also new to the 2007 show is the Narrow- To Mid-Web Technology Center that will have leading suppliers and the latest equipment to produce jobs on both narrow- and mid-web equipment. This Technology Center is being developed in cooperation with DiTrolio Flexographic Institute.
