European Smart Label Conference

The retail, healthcare, IT, transport, and FMCG sectors are all represented on the conference program. Directors and senior managers from Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Hewlett-Packard, Scandinavian Airlines, and Unilever will be speaking to delegates over the two days. New on the conference program is a presentation from David Morgan, surgeon and consultant in the National Health Service (NHS), who will be detailing how the UK government-run health service is improving the safety of drugs through the use of smart labels. He will present examples of how the technology is applied to track blood tests, x-rays and other patient tests. Morgan will also demonstrate how the use of intelligent labels and packaging enable safe and secure tracking of medicines in the supply chain.
