Esko has underlined its commitment to safeguarding customer data and protecting it against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other potential security risks, achieving SOC 2 Type 2 certification for its integrated software solutions.
The certification assures Esko customers that their sensitive information, intellectual property, and other critical assets are secure and well-protected, assessing the organizations’ security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy controls against stringent criteria set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The successful accreditation was completed less than a year after the company also successfully achieved the international standard on information security management, ISO 27001, following a perfect 100% assessment of its policies and procedures.
Joël Depernet, Chief Technology Officer with the global provider of integrated software and hardware solutions for the packaging and labels markets, explained that the SOC2 Type 2 certification involves a rigorous evaluation, conducted by an independent auditor, in which the design and effectiveness of an organization's security controls and processes are assessed.
“This achievement underscores Esko's ongoing commitment to meeting the stringent security requirements demanded by customers in the packaging, labels, and artwork management industries,” said Joël. “As a customer-centric organization, Esko understands the critical importance of maintaining robust security measures to protect our customers' valuable data, a point reinforced by our recent ISO 27001 security standard accreditation.”
Joël said the benefits of Esko's SOC 2 Type 2 certification extend beyond mere compliance. “This latest achievement signifies our dedication to implementing best-in-class security practices, including comprehensive risk management, access controls, monitoring, and incident response protocols,” he said. “Certification provides customers with peace of mind, knowing that their valuable data is in safe hands and that Esko takes their security concerns seriously.”
The SOC 2 Type 2 scope will now be further expanded to include other key products in addition to Esko WebCenter and Blue software. “By extending the SOC 2 certification to cover a wider range of products, we are ensuring that the same high level of security controls and practices will be applied throughout our software portfolio,” added Joël. “This comprehensive approach further strengthens Esko's position as a trusted partner in the industry.
“Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 certification is a significant milestone for us and demonstrates our unwavering commitment to providing top-tier security and privacy to our customers,” he said. “We are proud to expand the SOC 2 scope to include our key products, enabling a consistent and reliable security framework across our entire software line-up."
