Heidelberg Inks Deal for First XL 162 VLF Press
SIOUX FALLS, SD—At PRINT 09, Bell, Inc. signed paperwork to become North America's first company to purchase a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 162 VLF press. The folding carton producer chose the Speedmaster XL162 6+LX press with aqueous coater and Prinect Press Center with Intellistart and integrated Wallscreen.
Several factors led to the company's decision to go with this press, including enhanced production speed, reduced makeready times, the ability to handle a wide range of difficult substrates, and the ability to handle long runs economically.
"We were impressed with the XL 162 during our visit to drupa," says Benjamin Graham, vice president. "It didn't take us long to determine that the Speedmaster XL 162 would be a game-changing addition to our pressroom, as well as a means for us to provide the kind of customer service that has set us apart from the competition for decades."
