Frank Hasselberg, Gallus's western regional sales manager, has announced the sale of a new Gallus ECS 340 label printing press to Epsen Hillmer Graphics, located in Omaha Nebraska. Epsen Hillmer has been a Gallus customer since the mid-1970s, with many Gallus presses still in operation. This order represents the first Gallus ECS 340 the company has purchased.
“We did a thorough head-to-head comparison of all the leading flexo presses on the market, ultimately narrowing the choice down to the Gallus ECS 340 and one other," Tom Hillmer, president of Epsen Hillmer, said. "In the end, we felt very comfortable with Gallus because of our familiarity with their equipment and our confidence in their excellent support staff. Plus, we felt their screen capabilities, which are extremely important to us, were second to none.”
Since 1908 Epsen Hillmer has served the beverage, health and beauty, and automotive markets, among others. The new Gallus ECS 340 will give the company additional capabilities such as cold foil stamping and screen, which will allow the company to attract new markets. Because the press is extremely efficient, Hillmer expects it to enhance current productivity as well.
Epsen Hillmer’s press will have UV curing, screen and cold stamping capabilities. Delivery is scheduled for the end of January or the beginning of February.
