RESTON, Va.—Elinor Midlik, president of Prime UV Systems, Inc., and Standard Finishing Systems received the 2007 Harold W. Gegenheimer Awards for Industry Service at the Annual Conference of NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, Nov. 4, in San Diego, Calif.
Named in honor of former Baldwin Technology Company Chairman Harold W. The awards consist of recognition for the recipients and contributions in the name of the winners for scholarships to the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation.
Midlik was honored with the individual award for her active involvement on the association’s board of directors, leadership as chairman of the Government Relations Committee, and service on the association’s Show Policy, Strategic Planning, and Programs and Meetings committees.
“Serving our members and responding to the issues facing our industry through my involvement in NPES has truly been an honor for me,” said Midlik. “It’s a tremendous compliment to be recognized for promoting our great industry and helping to advance our organization’s efforts on its behalf.”
“Elinor’s steadfast leadership and guidance have been invaluable to NPES over the years,” said NPES President Ralph J. Nappi. “We appreciate this opportunity to express our thanks to her and look forward to her ongoing involvement.”

The organization’s active involvement has extended also through Steven Reny, who participated in NPES Regional Meetings, Annual Conferences and served on NPES committees. Through Mark Hunt’s participation, the company was also active with PRIMIR.
“I’m pleased to accept this prestigious award on behalf of all Standard employees,” said David Reny. “It’s a real compliment to the dedication and service of our entire organization.”
