Early Rates Offered for FFTA & Clemson’s Fall Symposium
CLEMSON, S.C.—The Foundation of the Flexographic Technology Association (FFTA) and Clemson University’s Department of Graphic Communications will present the fall installment of its Flexographic Process Color Printing Symposium, Sept. 26-28, 2007.
This 2-1/2 day symposium is designed to teach the steps to optimize, characterize, measure and manage flexographic color printing in a production environment using the proven techniques of process control. Hands-on breakout sessions provide best practices for densitometers, spectrophotometers, documentation, and press side color evaluations as well as an introduction to profiling.
Beginner to advanced production and management personnel, prepress, sales and customer service staff for printers and industry suppliers have all benefited from this program. It is appropriate for all segments of flexography from wide web packaging to narrow web tag and label as well as envelope and corrugated.
In addition, participants have many opportunities to speak one-on-one with the presenters at meals and social hours that extend into the evening about their color reproduction issues. Those presenters include Marek Skrzynski (CWS, Inc), Mark Mazur (DuPont), Jean Jackson (Allison Systems), Mike Shanley (National Envelope), Neil Harrelson (Schawk), Larry Wm. Evans (Printing Services, Inc) and Sam Ingram, Page Crouch and Jay Sperry (Clemson University).
Those registering by Aug. 15 will receive a $100 Early Bird Savings at $695 per person. Early groups of 3 or more are reduced to $650 per person. The regular rates are $795 for individuals and $750 for groups.
The sessions meet at Clemson University’s Madren Conference Center & Resort and the University’s Graphics Lab in Clemson, S.C.
