The dates for drupa 2020 were moved by one week and the world’s most important trade fair for printing technologies will now be held from Tuesday, June 16 to Friday, June 26, 2020 in Düsseldorf, Germany. This was agreed by the drupa Committee and Messe Düsseldorf at their meeting on Feb. 15, 2017. The key argument for this decision is the fact that in some European countries as well as in Germany the summer holidays would have already started during the initially planned dates (June 23 - July 3, 2020). By changing the dates, Messe Düsseldorf is responding to requests from both exhibitors and visitors.
"When we decided to stick to the four-year cycle of drupa in consultation with the leading representatives of the industry during drupa 2016, the majority of holiday dates had not been published yet," Werner Dornscheidt, president and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, explained. "Now we are really pleased that we can offer this solution although there is hardly any room for maneuver in the packed trade fair year of 2020. The fact that we agreed on a more compact stand construction period also contributes to staging the entire trade fair in June. And we are delighted to be able to act in our customers' interest by starting one week earlier than originally planned."
