More than a dozen firms sponsored its development in order to have access to more meaningful measurement tools and standards, including Adobe, Canon, Kodak, EFI, HP, Konica Minolta, Lexmark, Océ, Okidata, Toshiba, Xerox, and Ziff Davis Enterprise.
