The Digital Packaging Summit 2016 will be held from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, returning to the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The Digital Packaging Summit is an invitation-only, hosted summit designed for senior managers and business executives who want to understand how current and future digital production printing technology, software and solutions will impact their business and investment decisions.
The 2015 summit provided a unique and valuable experience for attendees to acquire this knowledge and received excellent reviews from attendees and sponsors. Attendees met and learned from the "who's who" in the label and folding carton markets, as well as users who have installed or plan to install digital solutions. The unique event format allowed them to discuss the successes and challenges encountered when implementing this new technology through case study sessions, one-on-one meetings, and a unique conference program led by Kevin Karstedt, CEO, Karstedt Partners, LLC, and a team of key advisory board members.
“Our organization has been investigating different digital solutions but needed more clarity on the active markets and the various technologies available,” Dan Doherty, executive vice president of operations/principle of Prairie State Impressions, said. “The Digital Packaging Summit allowed us to finalize our decision and move forward with [a] digital option to better serve our clients.”
Post event attendee data showed that 100 percent of the attendees would recommend the event to a friend or industry peer. Ninety-seven percent of the attendees found the one-on-one meetings with suppliers valuable and a productive way to detail their needs and find possible solutions.
“Being able to network with like-minded individuals heavily involved in the industry was extremely insightful.” Steve Kirchof, vice president/operations manager of Labels in Motion, said. “Having all the possible vendors you want to talk to brought to you in one location was great!”
Brad Elledge, director of continuous improvement at Nosco, said, “I came to this conference looking for some specific answers on the future direction of digital production … and I got lots of answers, in depth conversations with suppliers and industry consultants and the opportunity to connect with peers in a relaxed, intimate, non-competitive context. Content was rich and thoroughly enjoyable.”
When asked how this event compared to other traditional exhibitions or conference experiences, 100 percent of the sponsors stated that the event was (1) much more intimate and business development focused and (2) a different format with a higher number of leads generated than a traditional exhibition or conference. Ninety-eight percent of the attendees had interest in purchasing products from the suppliers present at the summit.
“I’ve experienced many different types of printing industry events over the last 30 years and the format, content and networking at the recent Digital Packaging Summit seriously raises the bar versus other venues.” Gary Bernier, strategic business and brand development manager, labels and packaging, HP Indigo and Inkjet Press Solutions, AMS, said.
Printing and converting executives who attend learn from top industry experts and their peers through keynote sessions, workshops, real-life end user panels, and segment-focused breakout sessions. They also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with, and listen to focused case studies from, leading solution providers and build long-lasting relationships through numerous networking receptions and meals, among other activities.
“The goal of NAPCO and nGage Events was to create a fresh and unique networking and educational environment where everyone can be a part of the content,” David Pesko, senior vice president at nGage Events and event director, said. “We laid the foundation at Digital Packaging Summit 2015 and we are excited to build from that in 2016.”
