Diamond Packaging Named “Best of the Best” Workplace in 2006
Rochester, N.Y.—Diamond Packaging of Rochester, NY has again been recognized as “Best of the Best” in the 2006 Best Workplace in the Americas awards competition, sponsored by the Printing Industries of America (PIA) and Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF). The program is designed to recognize graphic arts companies for their outstanding human relations efforts that contribute to a successful workplace. This year marks the sixth year in a row that the honor was bestowed on Diamond Packaging.
A panel of experts carefully evaluated all of the entries and found that the human relations practices of Diamond Packaging were among the best in the country. Companies were measured on their day-to-day application of the following criteria:
Management Practices
Work Environment
Training and Development Opportunities
Recognition and Rewards
Workplace Health and Safety
Health and Wellness Programs
Financial Security
Work-Life Balance
“It’s an honor to be recognized by the industry as a company that offers an outstanding workplace environment,” said Pattie Holzgartner, director of human resources. “We’re proud of our commitment to attract and retain employees who contribute to our success.”
“Since 2000, the Best Workplace program has recognized industry leaders from small, medium, and large firms in the graphic arts industry for their outstanding human relations practices. While every company that entered this year’s competition has HR programs they should be proud of, the Best Workplace program recognizes outstanding accomplishment,” said Jim Kyger, human resources director for PIA/GATF. “This program is a way to give employers with innovative, cost effective HR programs, the recognition they deserve.”
