Degrava Systems Partners with OKI Printing Solutions
ATLANTA—Degrava Systems based in Roswell, Ga., and OKI Printing Solutions, a subsidiary of OKI Data Corporation of Japan, have formed a strategic partnership in which OKI will become the exclusive distributor for the Degrava DP-8500 printer within the EMEA market (Europe, Middle East and Africa). The EMEA market represents 50 percent of OKI’s worldwide sales.
The printer combines OKI Printing Solutions’ quality digital LED print engine with Degrava’s DP-8500 digital press to deliver an affordable, high quality, simple solution for short run label printing. When executives at Degrava Systems first envisioned this new product, they knew it wouldn’t operate successfully without a quality print engine to drive the press, so they turned to OKI for its superior quality digital LED print engine and its position of expertise in the marketplace. Paired with Degrava Color Pro software, the DP-8500 produces brilliantly colored, professional quality labels, tags, and other narrow web applications.
“OKI Printing Solutions, with their outstanding marketing, sales and customer support, provides Degrava Systems, LLC with the best possible opportunity to support users of the DP-8500 in the EMEA market,” said Mike Bertolani, international sales and marketing, Degrava Systems. “The partnership with OKI has allowed both companies to expand into new markets and offer the most affordable, flexible and technologically sound printing solution to our customers.”
The alliance has been a win-win scenario for both companies. Tony Lock, general manager sales & marketing at OKI Printing Solutions said, “We welcome the chance to collaborate with Degrava in this innovative way. By bringing together the technologies of our two companies, we’re now able to provide the EMEA market with a superior, short run label printing system.”
