Haney, Inc. Small Batch Packaging Experts, is pleased to announce the addition of Dan Muenzer to its management team effective immediately. In his role as director of marketing and business development, Mr. Muenzer is charged with helping lead Haney’s brand awareness and supply chain partnerships, along with expanding upon the company’s relationships with industry-leading consumer packaged goods companies.
Muenzer was most recently the president of TLMI, the North American association representing the $14 billion North American tag and label printing industry. He was integral in leading the industry’s market awareness, sustainability, government & regulations, and workforce initiatives, while also focusing on building strategic relationships with complementary print and packaging industries. He entered the label industry with Spear in 1994 and helped grow it from a single site in Cincinnati, OH to a global supplier with customers in over 50 countries. Muenzer became Vice-President of Global Marketing for Constantia-Flexibles Labels Division in 2014, shortly after their purchase of Spear, where he stayed until assuming TLMI’s lead position in 2017.
“I have known, and been energized by, Haney and their industry-leading packaging innovation for the past 20 years. No matter where my career took me, I always stayed engaged with them because their reputation for package innovation, sustainability solutions, and relationships with CPG’s is second to none. I am excited to join Haney and cannot think of a place I would rather be," said Muenzer.
Haney’s Packaging Microfactory provides CPG’s a one-stop-shop for the informed design, prototyping, printing, and co-packing of consumer market samples for FDA-regulated products. Haney connects and accelerates technical packaging innovation through strategic relationships with over 50 leading materials, effects, finishes, and print technology partners, while also being recognized as a leader in package sustainability initiatives. Haney’s product offering includes pouches, bags/flow wrap, sachets, lidding film, labels, folding cartons, blister packs, clamshells, trays, tubes, and corrugated shippers.
“My brother Matt and I have known Dan for a long time and are excited to finally be able to work together to take our organization to the next level. Dan’s expert industry knowledge and connections to both brands and manufacturers will better enable us to make smart strategic plans and investments for our innovation to activation sampling programs, as well as our consumer packaging and co-packing operations,” said Dan Haney, President.
