The CRON-ECRM team returned from drupa pleased with both the traffic and feedback from a very successful event. The new offerings introduced at drupa 2016 supplement an already extensive CRON CTP product line, and this was reflected in the excitement generated in the 5,600 sq. ft. showroom exhibit. Aiming to reach a worldwide audience, drupa proved to be the ideal stage to reinforce the company’s leadership position as the premier leader in all facets of computer-to-plate production.
Rick Black, president and CEO, CRON-ECRM notes, “We showcased a complete CRON solutions lineup, from two-page to VLF format CTP products. We supplemented this with a variety of automation choices, a new flexo CTP unit, and EZcolor — a new digital inking system for existing offset presses. The booth was buzzing with activity that I have not seen in years."
CRON Flexo CTP (HDI-900S)
One of the featured new offerings at drupa was the CRON Flexo HDI-900. In addition to its small, compact footprint, this innovative flexographic platesetter is capable of imaging at resolutions up to 9,600 dpi. The CRON HDI family produces the highest quality letterpress and flexographic plates, as well as ablative films. Furthermore, by utilizing individual fiber-coupled diodes, users benefit from redundancy, eliminating production downtime in the event of laser failure.
Exhibiting at Labelexpo 2016
The company also announced its intention to exhibit at Labelexpo 2016 in Rosemont, Ill (September 13-15). Running live in the booth at the show will be the CRON-ECRM HDI-900H, imaging at 9,600 dpi with a maximum plate of size of up to 920x730 mm and as small as 100x100 mm. At Labelexpo, CRON-ECRM will show in booth #5436.
