CPP Hits the Main Line in Vegas
When CPP EXPO visited Las Vegas in 2007, it enjoyed a 28 percent increase in attendance over the 2005 Las Vegas event. The difference was co-locating with PACK EXPO and PROCESS EXPO. With 2005's logistical challenges erradicated, the co-located show also expereicned a 55 percent re-sign of exhibitors for this year's CPP EXPO—back in Las Vegas from October 5-7. The show is also moving to the main floor of the South Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the first time. "Coming from the upper level of the South Hall to the lower level (street level) will certainly enhance the expo experience for the attendees who are navigating the three-hall show," says Leo Nadolske, president of CPP EXPO Las Vegas. "Contiguously located next to the exhibit area where many of the converters and package printers will be exhibiting will be a big boost."
Relief from the economy
One advantage of attending CPP EXPO is it's relationship to the other two shows with which it shares floor space. According to show organizers, the three co-located events have proven to provide a full supply chain event, which creates efficiencies for both attendees and exhibitors alike. After CPP EXPO 2008, Nadolske remarked, "In selecting shows, it is no longer, 'we always do this one or that one.' In today's economy, there is no progress in tradition. You have to move on." By co-locating three events, Nadolske claims that organizers have taken the necessary steps to ensure attendees are provided with the best efficiencies in time and costs as is possible during the show's three days. "At the show, you will be able to see not only your existing customers and suppliers, but you will also be able to see and visit with prospective customers and suppliers in one location with just one registration badge," he says.
Plan now
H A Bruno, which produces and manages the show, has made it easy for attendees to plan their attack in Vegas. Visitors to www.cppexpo.com can see a floor plan by clicking on "Exhibitor" or "Attendee", then clicking on "Floor plan." Nadolske advises to plan now, "so you will know about the next trend to take place when the economy finally bounces back." He adds, "The economic climate ahead is laden with surprises and new challenges. Our industry must meet what lies ahead with innovation and creativity so that, at the end of the day, we persevere and continue to grow."
Ultimately, Nadolske says these are not "business as usual times," and business owners must look at ways in which they can truly get the most out of the dollars they are spending. "If you can only go to one show in 2009, why not go to three," he asks. "CPP EXPO/PACK EXPO/PROCESS EXPO serves all the needs of converters, package/printing professionals, and food processing industries. pP
