This spring, Collaboration in Packaging Production (CPP) Expo will provide three days of the latest packaging technologies, educational sessions and business development opportunities. The event will be held from April 19-21 and will be co-located with the ISA International Sign Expo at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
“The co-location between ISA and CPP is a perfect opportunity in the digital print eco-system to bridge signage and packaging all in a single event,” said Brandon Hensley, ISA’s COO in a press release. “We look forward to exploring the synergies and business expansion opportunities by learning more about these closely related industries.”
Not only is CPP Expo targeted toward package printers, converters and suppliers, it is also inclusive of brand managers, package designers and design agencies. The goal is to develop engagement and business development throughout the packaging industry.
“We believe the collaboration between ISA and CPP will provide package printers and converters with the opportunity to discover innovative inkjet, digital and hybrid solutions and technologies they can’t find anywhere else,” Jane McDermott, CPP’s show director said in a release. “There is no question that innovations in printing processes are fueling the growth in packaging production as it provides the versatility to use a variety of substrates while offering unparalleled customization opportunities.”
To help CPP Expo grow into the premier event for the packaging industry, three experienced industry professionals have joined together to lead the show.
McDermott will serve as show director, and has more than 25 years of experience in managing trade shows and conferences. She has been the show director of CPP Expo for more than five years.
Chris Price, chief strategy officer for TradeShow Logic will assist with sales and marketing. Price is experienced in the print industry, having served as VP of the Graphic Arts Show Company, which is responsible for both Graph Expo and Print. Additionally, he has served as VP of Graphics of the Americas.
Roger Halligan, CEO of marketing communications/PR company H+A International, has also joined the CPP team. Halligan was part of the launch of ICE USA in 2011 and has served as the chairman of the advisory board for the event for the past five years.
“What brought us all together was the exciting new direction CPP EXPO is now taking and our new collaboration with ISA International Sign Expo,” said McDermott. “By co-locating with ISA Expo in Las Vegas in 2017 we will showcase printing solutions for the sectors experiencing and anticipated to experience the most growth. We will provide all those involved in packaging materials production with the opportunity to discover innovative inkjet, digital, wide format and hybrid solutions they can’t find anywhere else.”
McDermott added that the ISA Expo and CPP EXPO 2017 is the perfect opportunity in the branding/print eco-system to bring display/signage and packaging together in a single event. The expo and conference will attract close to 25,000 packaging and visual communications professionals.
