Color Resolutions to Host Corrugated Technology Summit
FAIRFIELD, Ohio—Color Resolutions International (CRI) has invited industry leaders in the corrugated converting industry to its corporate headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio from Aug. 22 - 23 to exchange ideas about key issues, new technologies, and emerging trends at CRI’s Corrugated Technology Summit.
Representatives from the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC), Bobst , Martin, Asitrade; X-Rite/Pantone; DuPont Packaging Graphics; KemiArt US, Inc.; M-real USA Corp.; Praxair Surface Technologies; Printron; and Absolute Engineering will join CRI officials for the two-day event.
Representatives from each of the participating companies will present a short overview of their organizations, before sharing new ideas and technologies to improve the performance, quality, and economics of corrugated printing. Across the board, participants are seeing more independent corrugators expanding into finer graphics to differentiate their businesses from the integrated corrugators. This movement toward enhanced graphics raises the bar for suppliers, defining new demands for technology enhancement and quality control. Other key topics will include product and service innovations, effective partnering approaches, and sustainability efforts.
“We all share common customers. It just makes good business sense to also share our ideas and insights,” says George Sickinger, president and CEO of CRI. “Our Corrugated Technology Summit is all about creating a forum for open, candid discussions that will lead to better partnerships and ultimately better product and service offerings.”
This is the third Corrugated Technology Summit that CRI is hosting. To further enhance the exchange of ideas, this year’s Summit will include Voice of the Customer. Several successful high-end printers and converters will join the co-suppliers as market advisors to share their challenges and successes, specifically when working with suppliers. Owners and key managers from York Container, Drake Container, Archbold Container, Wisconsin Packaging, and other companies will provide their insights during the Summit. Following the presentations, the group will participate in an open discussion about common challenges and best practices.
