CMM and ICE Announce Transatlantic Alliance
NEW YORK—CMM International (Converting, Machinery and Materials Exhibition) and ICE (International Converting Exhibition) are pleased to announce a major new alliance. As part of this new arrangement, CMM and ICE will market each other's events to their respective audiences around the world.
The first step in this new alliance will consist of ICE promoting CMM 2005, the world's largest converting-exclusive event, to ICE's constituency of converters and suppliers throughout the European Union (EU). ICE will also host a booth and have a major presence at CMM International scheduled for April 18-21 at Chicago's McCormick Place South.
Likewise, CMM will actively promote the ICE show and exhibit at ICE 2005 in Munich, from November 22-24, 2005. Future opportunities will be explored in a variety of areas including educational sessions and conference program initiatives.
A discount package has been created for all ICE attendees interested in visiting CMM in April which includes free entry to the exhibition, a 25 percent discount on a full conference pass, discounted hotel rates, and the chance to win some special prizes. A special registration link on the CMM website has been set up for those interested in attending.
"We believe this new alliance will attract many European converters who are looking to take advantage of the increased buying power of the Euro," said Ian Johnston, CMM President. "Although we already attract thousands of international converters, this new alliance will bring additional visitors from the ICE community." Johnston added that CMM has seen dozens of online registrations as a result of the ICE Alliance.
Michael Boyle, ICE Event Director commented, "This new transatlantic partnership ensures both CMM and ICE remain the world's two leading converting exclusive events offering ideal platforms for a wide range of converting processes and value for money across the globe."
Exhibitor packages have also been created for ICE exhibitors interested in making a debut at CMM, including the negotiation of special booth rates. According to Erich Herbert, CMM Director of Sales and Marketing, the relationship has already resulted in new exhibitors. "Shortly after the alliance was announced, we received several calls and signed up new exhibitors. These new EU companies will be a nice compliment to the many other European exhibitors"
Boyle added, "We invite visitors and exhibitors to capitalise on our alliance and exploit overseas business opportunities in 2005 by attending both CMM in Chicago and ICE in Munich."
