Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Orlando has announced its Safe Quality Food (SQF) Certification level 2 accreditation for manufacturers of food sector packaging materials.
CFP Orlando is a leading supplier of lidding solutions to the food sector and achieved the top category rating of 'excellent' following assessment.
SQF level 2, is recognized as a Global Food Safety Initiative benchmark, meeting international food safety requirements and is considered an international mark of excellence for the certificate holder.
“For our customers, this means further assurance that finished food packaging materials supplied by CFP Orlando have been manufactured, stored and shipped with the highest possible standards," Bill Harris, CEO of CFP Orlando, said. “We are acutely aware of our responsibilities as a supplier of packaging for food and SQF certification highlights the fact that in our business we have an actionable, thorough and competent food safety control system in place that has been properly documented, implemented and verified.”
SQF certification is an international food safety program that is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). GFSI recognized programs, such as SQF, require suppliers to meet various criteria on their food safety management system. These requirements are designed to protect the global and national food supply chain. In addition, SQF level 2 distinguishes the supplier as having an accredited HACCP plan for food safety.
