While many press manufacturers and print suppliers are providing technologies that support expanded gamut printing, a need arises for technical training in the area. Clemson University’s Sonoco Institute of Packaging Design and Graphics offers an Expanded Color Gamut (ECG) Seminar for industry professionals to gain advanced experience in this area, drawing on the knowledge of industry experts from Esko, All Printing Resources, Clemson’s Graphic Communications department and others.
Currently, a class is scheduled for April 9-11 in Clemson, SC offering a blend of classroom learning and hands-on experience in the Institute’s Advanced Print Lab. The ECG seminar is classified as a specialty course where attendees will learn to (1) define expanded gamut inks, (2) calibrate and characterize a flexo press, (3) conduct selective gamut expansion and spot color conversions, (4) produce color separations and proof, (5) print and analyze process control, (6) convert RGB or CMYK to 7C in Adobe Photoshop and much more.
Use state-of-the-art software, color management and production flexographic equipment to get hands-on with the ECG process workflow while engaging with industry experts around this exciting and beneficial technology. Click here or visit SonocoInstitute.com/Events to learn more and register. Groups of three or more people receive a $100 discount per person.
