Chinese and International Exhibitors To Crowd Into Labelexpo Asia
SHANGHAI, China—Labelexpo Asia, the largest label industry exhibition in this region, will take place from November 28-30, 2007 in Shanghai. Exhibitor space has expanded significantly on the 2005 event, with more than 75 percent of the exhibition sold. Building on the success of Labelexpo Asia 2005, the show will feature a large presence of local Chinese machinery and materials’ manufacturers as well as many leading international suppliers who will be launching and unveiling their latest products on this important stage.
Labelexpo Asia 2007 is expected to welcome more than 12,000 visitors and 350 exhibitors to the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre. Visitors will see Asia’s largest gathering of label printing machinery, technologies and materials all under one roof.
HP, who have exhibited at Labelexpo Asia in previous years, have greatly increased their presence and will be demonstrating their latest technological and digital advances. In the run up to the Olympics in Beijing in 2008, there will be many opportunities for printers to benefit from the surge in demand from brand owners for vastly increased labeling requirements. Industries set to require more labeling and printing products include: transportation, food and drink to name a few.
Other exhibitors at the show include The Beiren Group, Basch Group, Qingzhou Ekofa, Weifang DongHang, Yupo Corporation, King Label Adhesive Products, Shanghai Purlux, Mark Andy, Avery Dennison, Gallus, Nilpeter, Omet, Exxon Mobil, Gidue, UPM Raflatac, Rotometrics, Rotoflex, Labelmen, DuPont and Xsys Print Solutions, to name a few.
Roger Pellow, Labelexpo managing director, said, “The greater Asian region has been one of the powerhouses behind the global growth of label materials and technology in recent years. China alone now accounts for over 14 percent of global label consumption - and is still growing rapidly at up to 15 percent each year. It is within this environment, that we are delighted to provide the label industry with a forum to meet, do business and exchange new ideas. The commercial opportunities of doing business in China are vast both for the local and international label industry. Many major global suppliers have set up new and exciting partnerships here in China and our show will help many companies to research and identify new venture opportunities.”
The last Labelexpo show in 2005 was a great success with thousands of visitors coming from over 70 countries with large delegations from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.
