Catapult Print, a label business, has achieved a record quarter for the start of 2024, with over 513 million labels sold since January 1; a figure 45.8% up on the same period last year.
The Florida-based $55 million business has printed c 52 million ft of labels since the beginning of the year, up 16.6 percent on Q1 2023. The company has delivered a sales increase of 32.4 percent, with a total of 8,300 SKUs dispatched in Q1 – 1,800 of which were dispatched within just two days of order across the US and Canada.
Catapult’s best quarter has been fueled by record sales month on month, as the company’s service-driven, lean production model gains traction across the pressure sensitive labels, linerless labels, and narrow web labels sectors.
Founder and chairman of Catapult, Mark Cook, explains: “All of our growth has come about organically. Onboarding 55 new customers last year alone shows we are doing something right, and our passion to create a customer-focused business that is truly changing and disrupting the industry is key to our success.
“Every new customer I speak to has two priorities: lead time and price. That’s why we built the business, to offer something unique and different. I'm blown away every day at what we've created, with technology, automation, systems and data that give customers everything: better costs, better quality, better lead times, and better service. You truly have to see it to believe it.”
During Q1 2024, Catapult has fulfilled 99 percent of orders on time. It has achieved an average lead time of just 5.3 days, and 21 percent of orders have been dispatched within a mere two days.
The company’s state-of-the-art print facility boasts the most advanced technology, a highly skilled team, and Catapult’s proprietary Crystal system, the company’s purpose-built system for everything from artwork approval to inventory management. All of this combined has made Catapult a game changing influence in the US print industry.
Mark Cook adds: “Catapult has been growing by 50 per cent year on year at a time when the industry as a whole has been stagnant at best. I'm very proud of the team. We're definitely not getting carried away, there is so much more we’re doing that can drive even bigger change in the market, we're definitely driven to get better and better at what we do.
“We’re delighted to have made such a strong start to 2024 and we will continue delivering what customers want. Achieving that goal is truly the key to growth.”'
