HILLSBORO, OR—March 3, 2015—The prevalence of UV LED curing is increasing in the flexo/narrow web and label printing field, and Phoseon Technology, Flint Group Narrow Web, and Mark Andy have joined forces to help spread the word about this technology.
The seminar, titled "UV-LED - A Bright Future Awaits!", will be presented this spring in Los Angeles, Atlanta and Chicago. The goal for the events is to provide information to top decision makers of narrow web tag and label converting companies about the potential benefits that UV LED curing can provide.
Some of the topics that will be discussed include the LED solid state lamp, returns on investment, press interface, LED ink technology, how UV LED compares to mercury UV, and how to navigate the transition to UV LED. The sessions will also address inks, coatings, adhesives, using UV LED for unsupported or heat sensitive materials, and how the technology can benefit food packaging.
The three seminars are free to attend and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, specifically for label and packaging printers. Space is limited and will likely fill up quickly. The dates and locations of "UV LED - A Bright Future Awaits!" include:
- March 24 - Los Angeles, noon to 4 p.m., Marriott Courtyard, 6161 W. Century Blvd.
- March 31 - Atlanta, 1 to 5 p.m., Hyatt Regency, 265 Peachtree Street NE
- April 10 - Chicago, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., DePaul University O'Hare Campus, 8770 W. Bryn Mawr Ave.
