Marking the first sale of their high-volume print system to a US customer, Dantex Digital, part of the Dantex Group, will install a PicoJet Digital UV Inkjet Press at New Jersey-based Beau Label later this spring. Their trusted relationship with Dantex and its product range, combined with established service and support, gave the Beau Label management belief and confidence to proceed during the pandemic.
Launched in 1967, Beau Label is a third generation, family-owned print services provider, manufacturing labels for numerous industries, including food, beverage, wine and spirits, health and beauty, pet supplies, household products, industrial products and promotional products. The business, which offers a range of printing processes from a 30,000 sq ft production facility, saw the PicoJet as a perfect addition to their expanding portfolio of print solutions.
“We have built a strong relationship with Dantex over the years and know them well,” said Vincent (VJ) Melapioni, Beau Label’s president. “Investing in a PicoJet is everything and more that we were after. Spectacular print quality, opaque white ink density that surpasses rotary screen without the cost, an attractive price point and a web width that fits our model and existing tooling. Dantex has proven to be a valued vendor partner to Beau Label and we look forward to our continued association.”
Developed by Dantex’s advance engineering team, PicoJet is a highly productive UV digital inkjet press, with ultra-high-speed production up to 75m (250 ft) per minute and is capable of producing more than 9 million linear meters (29.5 million linear feet) of printed labels per year. As a 5-color printing system, it offers superior print quality thanks to its 2.5 picoliter droplet size and an effective resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi, and with the inking system offering superior laydown of each color on the previously printed color, constant accuracy and quality is maintained. Furthermore, PicoJet’s operator-friendly PicoPilot software also makes it easy to prepare, print and switch from production to production.
PicoJet is a high specification CMYK printing system including, a recirculating ink system, web cleaner, specially designed ink delivery system, temperature-controlled backup roller, corona unit and anti-static bar. This digital press also offers a range of optional features; white (opacity at 86%), varnish, variable data, additional mark sensors, chilled roller, full rotary die cut station & matrix remover, lamination, backslitter and slitter, all of which feature on the Beau Label press.
Commenting on Beau Label’s investment, Dantex’s CEO, Ben Danon, said: “We are pleased to be installing our first PicoJet into the US. This is a fabulous digital press and I know that Beau Label will be delighted with the fast production efficiency and enhanced print quality that it provides. Once again, our digital support team have been able to successfully demonstrate the PicoJet’s impressive functionality in a ‘virtual setting’.
“Clearly VJ and the team at Beau Label were very impressed with the US team’s attention to detail in being able to demonstrate the functionality of the press in what is a globally challenging time. We look forward to installing their new press in April/May later this year.”
