Ballard Spahr Represents Cimarron Label in Acquisition by Inovar Packaging Group
Ballard Spahr represented Cimarron Label and Western Printing in its recent acquisition by Inovar Packaging Group. Debevoise & Plimpton LLC served as legal counsel to Inovar on this transaction. LB Transitions served as the M&A broker.
The acquisition is Inovar’s eighth platform company. With locations in Sioux Falls and Aberdeen, South Dakota, Cimarron Label adds to Inovar’s existing manufacturing footprint in Dallas, Texas; Newburyport, Massachusetts; Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Kansas City; Kansas, Oceanside, California; and Westfield, Massachusetts.
Ballard Spahr’s Sioux Falls office managing partner Amy L. Arndt led the Ballard Spahr team that represented Cimarron Label and Western Printing in the transaction. It included litigation department chair Jason A. Leckerman, mergers and acquisitions group co-leader Barbara Lano Rummel, tax partner Jonathan R. Flora, and employee benefits and executive compensation partner Joshua T. Natzel. They were supported by intellectual property of counsel Jodi A. DeSchane, labor and employment of counsel Melissa R. Cimarron Label and Western Printing, aka Cimarron Label, were established with the goal of delivering consistent, excellent service to its customer base. The firm touts years of experience serving complex end markets including AgChem, lawn and garden, and automotive.
Randy Cowan will continue to lead the business, while Steve Pfeiffer intends to retire.
