Heidelberg Digital Portfolio Under Linoprint Name At drupa 2012
At drupa, the digital print solutions of Heidelberg will be presented in Hall 1 under the banner of HEI Flexibility and will highlight the seamless integration of offset and digital printing.
Heidelberg has expanded its cooperation with Ricoh and, from drupa 2012, will be selling the digital printing systems for short runs from Ricoh under the names Heidelberg Linoprint C 901 and Heidelberg Linoprint C 751. At drupa, the products in the Heidelberg Linoprint C series will be presented with the new Prinect Digital Print Manager. Even without integration into a complete workflow, this solution provides users with a highly efficient and transparent digital print workflow with a wide range of functions, such as variable data management, postpress with digital inline finishing systems, and a document-oriented workflow. Optional integration into the Prinect print shop workflow creates a seamless hybrid workflow between offset and digital printing that is unique in the industry. Users therefore have access to all the functions of the Prinect workflow, such as job planning and costing, standardized color management, and end-to-end management and production control from prepress and press all the way through to postpress. This enables print shops to manage and calculate both their offset and digital print jobs from a single workflow.
