There may not be leafy quads to toss a Frisbee or shoe-box sized dorm rooms, but Flexo University, Anderson & Vreeland's latest educational initiative, provides an online resource for package printers and converters to maintain their education in all aspects of the flexo process.
According to a blog post on the company's website, Flexo University will feature webinars, white papers and articles addressing current issues facing the flexo industry, provided by leading experts in the field. Online training, technical support and videos will also be available.
As technology improves throughout the printing and packaging industries, these latest developments will impact flexo printing. The blog post states that educational topics covered by Flexo University include computer-to-plate, extended gamut flexo, digital printing and digital front ends. Materials and products that improve the flexographic printing process will also be covered.
With the launch of Flexo University comes an online video resource called FlexoTV. According the Anderson & Vreeland, this online channel features more than 100 videos, including demonstrations and educational sessions pertaining to all aspects of the flexo process.
