If any evidence is needed to demonstrate just how strong graphic reproduction has become across all packaging types and printing processes, the 2019 Packaging Impressions Excellence Awards provides an excellent case study. With categories for all types of printing and packaging, our judges not only select top winners in individual categories, they also decide the top three entries overall in the entire competition. This year, the top three consisted of a flexible package, wine label, and folding carton, which were each printed with a different technology.
Best of Show: American Packaging Corp.
Rotogravure printing has a reputation for superior ink laydown and photorealistic imagery, and this year's best of show winner is no exception. Second Place: Labeltronix
Of all the categories in the Packaging Impressions Excellence Awards, our wine, beer, and spirits label categories seem to always receive the most entries. This year, the cream of the crop was the Annadoll label printed by Labeltronix for Katya Vineyards. Click here to learn more about this stunning flexographic label.
Third Place: Diamond Packaging
Folding cartons tend to exude luxury, as converters utilize the paperboard as a canvas for spectacular offset printing and a variety of embellishments.
