Alexander Baumgartner has assumed his role as CEO of flexible packaging company Constantia Flexibles as of Oct. 1, 2015. He succeeds Thomas Unger, who had led the group as CEO since 2011.

We will increase our efficiency efforts and strengthen our process and product innovation. I am confident that we will lead the company to more success as we push forward with our global growth strategy.”
Since 2010, Baumgartner was president for Europe of the Beauty & Home Aptargroup division. He played a significant role in leading the Beauty & Home reorganization and developing and implementing a European manufacturing strategy. He has previously worked for Germany’s STI Group and Austria’s Mayr-Melnhof Group.
He is a graduate of Wirtschaftsuniversität in Vienna and Luigi Bocconi University in Milan.
