AB Graphic and HP Make Case for Digital
ELGIN, Ill.—AB Graphic International held its second open house at its Elgin, Ill., facility in November. The event was co-sponsored by Hewlett-Packard and brought together representatives from more than 70 companies within the industry.
Presentation topics included “Latest Industry Trends” and “Business Case for Digital Label Products” and the open house featured an up-close demonstration of the ws4500 from HP Indigo, along with an RFID overview from Avery Dennison. AB Graphic International demonstrated various products from its portfolio including the Omega Digicon with Hot Foil Stamping and Embossing for digitally printed labels, Vectra Turret Rewinders, Omega Slitter Rewinders, Flytec 100-percent Camera Inspection, and Pharmaceutical Rewinders, with overviews of the new Laser diecutting and Omega Digilam for laminating narrow-web package materials.
Hewlett-Packard hosted the first evening at the Marriot Hotel and transformed the area into “an old European town” with displays showing the winners of the HP Indigo Label Awards that were announced during Labelexpo Brussels.
“The entire event was a resounding success,” said Al Spendow, VP of operations for AB Graphic International USA. “Our aim was to bring together customers, potential clients, and valued partners under one roof so we could offer full end-to-end solutions. Our thanks go out to all who attended and our gratitude to all those individuals and companies who contributed towards making the event another triumph.”
