1999 Excellence Awards

After winning its category, "Gia Vi Pho Ga" went head to head with winners from 12 other categories to vie for Best of Show. There, it came down to two entries, "Gia Vi Pho Ga" and "Comanche Gold," an offset-printed folding carton entered by Bert-Co Graphics, of Los Angeles, CA. "Comanche Gold" was cited for its outstanding use of spot varnishes, foil stamping, embossing and eye-popping graphics. The judges lauded Bert-Co for its initiative in fulfilling and exceeding customer expectations for a carton produced for the CD-rom home-electronics market, an emerging market for carton printers.
