Printing the set was an innovative effort. 150 line screen was used for special effect of patterns' color balance. Print embossing and diecutting register was most critical, and clean sharpness had to be maintained, resulting in a most unusual finish. SL1 7-color UV rotary letterpress machine. JAC paper bright silver metallized paper adhesive WLK202. SICPA inks. Toyo plates. Gerhart dies.

Vibrant colored illustrations of items familiar to Japanese children. Produced from celloglass iridescent clear film laminated to Panini semi-gloss white permanent adhesive paper printed 5 colors (ink from Sun Chemicals).

Diecut with flexible rotary die from Brownett Engraving. Sheeted on-press with Rotometrics rotary sheeter. Nilpeter B200 letterpress. Toray photopolymer plates.

The set was difficult to print. The designer supplied original painting at 400% of finished label size. 175 line screen was used when scanning. Films, plates, color balance and register were all critical factors with this print. Client and designer were most impressed with final result. 7-color UV SL1 rotary letter press. JAC high gloss white WLK202 adhesive material. SICPA inks. Toyo plates. Gerhart UK dies.
