Blue Prism Digital, located in San Fernando, Calif., provides their customers with everything from packaging concepts and design through fulfillment and distribution.
Seeking more control over their package production, Blue Prism Digital’s founder, Barbara Buschmann, researched her options to do in-house diecutting for creative customer packaging. Blue Prism Digital chose to partner with Rollem International and their Insignia flexo-magnetic sheet-fed diecutter, which allowed the company to produce custom packaging for a variety of industries. Due to the ability to convert the most intricate applications on a wide variety of substrates and thicknesses, these aspects allow them to create and produce fast turnaround products with complete control and no downtime.
Blue Prism Digital added the Insignia6 model diecutter, which offers the ability to feed sheets in either the landscape or portrait orientation to maximize the layout of the sheet. The 20 inches by 20 inches sheet capacity and ability to handle stock weights up to 24-point thicknesses allows for a variety of packaging and promotional products to be produced for Blue Prism Digital’s customers including prominent national and local entertainment companies. The IS6 performs diecutting, kiss cutting, embossing, perforating, scoring and cut scoring on a range of papers, plastics, magnetic material, PVC, styrene and polypropylenes.
“Our team is utilizing the Insignia in a variety of ways to expand our packaging line. Having the in-house control over the entire design, production and delivery process positions Blue Prism Digital to respond quickly to our clients’ needs,” states Buschmann.
